Boffer Tournaments
Tournaments at the SKRF

Welcome warriors! The 8th season of the Silver Kingdom Renaissance Festival will bring you several boffer weapon tournaments, each with two categories of skill: knight (age 13+) and squire (age 12-). In each category, the participants will be able to compete for victory and prizes.

Tournament Schedule

One-Handed Sword: Saturday 1pm
Florentine (two one-handed swords): Saturday 3pm
Pole-Arm: Sunday 1pm
One-Handed Sword and Shield: Sunday 3pm

Weapons:

All participants in any boffer combat must visit the Games admissions booth to sign the waiver, receive their combat-active wristband, and have their weapons inspected for safety.

Short Weapon: Max Length 30"
One-Handed Sword: Max Length 48"
Two-Handed Sword: Max Length 60"
Pole-Arm: Max Length 72"

Shield Construction:

Shields come in many designs: Round, heater, oval, rectangle, and triangle to name just a few. For tournament qualification, overall area may not exceed 452 square inches, and the longest dimension may not exceed 30". All size limitations include the foam edging required on all design types.
